Sanibel Island
Only a few m hours of Tampa, is Sanibel Island. I arrived this afternoon. The water was warm, like a bath, and the beach is sprinkled with tiny shells. Luckily, I found a bit of shade. You know, when I go to these special places, I try my best to find a remote spot, which is quite challenging. I so enjoy just being. Listening to the waves, and singing birds. Smelling the sea air, feeling the sun and wind. Seeing the water, and enjoying a glimpse of fish. I saw a dolphin today. Less people is better for me. Too many just blast their radios, oblivious as to how it effects others. I have seen signs at some parks that prohibit loud music, and I think it's a good thing. Connecting with nature should be void of manmade sounds. Manmade sounds can be created anyplace and at anytime, but hearing that special call of an osprey, and her nest is not a regular event. She was perched on a branch for the longest time. JoJo was safe in his house. People like me seek out these special moments while others seem to tune it out. Such is life. Tomorrow I plan on finding more nature and serenity on Sanibel and Captivia Islands.
