Taking Care of Business

I spent the morning at the Winnebago dealership. My rv is still under warranty, and has a few minor issues, such as awning, drawers and sliding door. They documented the issues and once approved, I will get them repaired. On the way home, I discovered a farm stand with home grown tomatoes. Caprese salad and balsamic vinaigrette!!!! I dont think it is a New York summer without home grown tomatoes. The evening was spent at a neighbor, Cristal's house, for an elegant and delicious dinner party. She lost her husband a year ago, and is so happy to have Ron and Wendy as good, neighborly friends. The next morning the 4 of us went on a hike in Ellison Park, Penfield. It was a beautiful walk in the woods, and I am amazed that I managed to climb a rather steep ridge to get to the top of a hill. I use hiking poles, which is my best support. It was a good workout, and sauna treatment, particularly in this heat wave. I raced to Batavia, to meet friends Eric and Pat. They are in the Buffalo area, and its about a halfway point. They are wood working artists that I met traveling the art show circuit, many years ago. They are the nicest people. Eric has a dead pan sence of humor, and I have always told him he should be a stand up comic. I posted a video of him on Facebook riding the mechanical kiddie horse at Oliver's Chocolate Shop. He didn't hesitate to ride it like a pro, and got quiet the audience. We spent hours there in ac, and enjoyed homemade ice cream, surrounded by every chocolate concoction that one could imagine. Apparently they are famous for their sponge chocolate. Like heaven, with chocolate and special friends.
