Heading to Ohio
I headed out of Chautauqua Gorge, towards Pennsylvania. Before I knew it, I was in Ohio. After a couple of hours I wound up in Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
I encountered not one but two aggressive drivers today. People ask me where the worst drivers are located. Yes, they're located near the biggest cities, however I have found plenty in more rural areas as well. With an Arizona plate, and you would think that they could put two and two together, that perhaps not only am I a visitor, but maybe I am not familiar with the area, and so taking some extra time to be cautious and mindful, is in the sensible thing for me to do. After all, I am driving a house. Too bad those people are in a rude, horrible hurry, and not courteous at all. I have decided to call them "special," out of my moments of complete driving exasperation. 14,000 miles and counting...
I found Brandywine Falls and decided to do about a mile and a half loop hike. The falls were pretty, and I managed to wade into the water to cool down. The photo enclosed shows Jo Jo with a face that says: "you know that I hate the water, don't you, and I thought that you loved me?" He's a funny boy. It's hot at 89° and we both got wet. I headed towards the Everett wooden covered bridge, which seems to be in like new condition. I entered the creek below, and would you believe it, I found a small rock with a fossil, and also a rock corral. I'm always on the lookout, you know.
I managed to find a Planet Fitness for the longest shower ever. Fortunately they allowed for overnight parking here, so that worked out very well for the evening and night.
