Gold Beach, OR

I spend another couple hours here at Harris Beach, and the water was so calm this morning, perfect for a nice walk as the tide was way out, you could also get a real glimpse of all the rock monoliths, and tidepools in this area.

I headed up along the Cape Sabastian State Scenic Corridor, with several lookouts. It's so beautiful. The waters are turquoise.
I stopped to get groceries, and oh my, I think they're twice as expensive as what I can get in Phoenix. It seems like everything I was touching was 3, 4 and $5 a piece! It may be a good time to start dieting again.

I came across the town of Gold Beach, and I'm spending the night here. I am boondocking in an RV Park right next to the beach where the foghorn blows every 23 seconds, and there are sea lions honking. The ladies room is all decked out with puzzle pieces that are hung like paintings, all around the room. It is colorful and kitchy.

I managed to get to the beach after climbing over and around driftwood scattered in this area. My nice long walk yielded me with a small collection of rounded, pure white quartz rocks, and one that is translucent. Oh, well, here I go again!
