More Yellowstone National Park

I got up at dawn, and made the drive to Norris Basin.  I started my hike it's 7:30 am and was done by 9 a.m. it's really cool in the morning, but with these geysers, and hot springs, along with a whiff of sulfur, I stayed comfortable while hiking along. And Jo Jo was in safe climate, still snoozing in his bed.

It was nice to avoid the crowds of people, and at the end of my trail I met a woman from North Carolina who was sitting in a wheelchair. We chatted for a bit and eventually her family members joined our group. She asked, and I told her, that I was traveling alone with Jo Jo, and her daughter said that "I am her hero." I hear that a lot. I said there's nothing heroic about it, it's just a matter of making up your mind to do it. And of course to have the resources do so. I encouraged her to give it a try. Its spontaneous, and freeing.

I went on to a few more viewpoints, look-outs of the upper Yellowstone Falls. After stopping in Canyon Village to do some more internet catching up, I was excited to head into Hayden Valley. Low and behold, we all encountered several bison, and a few that crossed the road right in front of me. It was amazing, and I actually got some good shots from another silver Winnebago Travato that happened to be facing me, as the bison crossed in front of it. It's as if I was watching a mirror image!

On to a few other cauldron, mud pots, and geysers, before I wound up at Yellowstone Lake, for my third night of camping in the park. I spent a few hours right at the lake, taking a swim and doing yet again another sketch while Jo Jo was getting "stranger" love. It was so relaxing, and the weather was completely perfect. Minus the biting flies.

I'm not in a great spot here at the campsite, with traffic literally three-quarters of the way around me right near the check-in station. I will have to really ramp up my white noise app, and or earplugs to drown out the noise. So much traffic! It is so busy!
