Alabama Hills II, CA

Well, today was a lesson on when to “seize the moment.” I had “day 2” plans to try to get into Alabama Hills again deciding to walk in from the beginning at the “shark fin trailhead,” as I saw so many people do yesterday. I might’ve walked a mile or two at most and not even close to the heart of this area, but that was plan A. Well… the road was closed right near my camp this time, a couple of miles from Movie Road, and as the sheriff stated, there was no getting through because the road was “washed out.” Well… I knew this wasn’t true…as I made it through this road yesterday. However construction crews were on board to clean up, and I figured they didn’t want ongoing traffic through to hold them up in this process. I should’ve seized the moment and hiked the Alabama Hills area yesterday.
