Seldovia, AK

We took the ferry to the coastal village of Seldovia. Eventhough it was cloudy, it was great to walk the town in cool temps. Eileen hiked the “otterbahn” hiking trail while I walked the town and headed to the Inside Beach where I combed the gravel for sea glass. Only a few were found along with pretty agates. We enjoyed the view of rock islands and snow capped mountains, trying to determine if it was in fact Denali. At one point we saw a bald eagle with a fish in his talons, fly right over our heads, almost close enough to grab it! Jo Jo is kept close to my side. This is a very small town, along a beautiful coastline. We both got a good deal of walking in today, and the ferry boat was quiet lovely. Our night was spent at the beach with our first campfire at the designated site, right on the Homer spit! What a great day!
