Sedona Studio Tour, Day 3

Image
I arrived home after 3 days in the Verde River Valley, and the Sedona area, to visit 27 artist open studios. I am inspired, and re-centered traveling in my ❤️ Sylver Gypsy. The cows kept me company this morning as well. Wow, who knew that they could be that noisy with moos and honks. It’s spring! Jo Jo did well, getting stranger love too! 🐕🐾

Studio Tour II

I get it….that people want to visit artist studios. As a participant in my own studio tour, I’ve always wanted to get around, but I am locked into my space so this was an opportunity to see other artists, their studios, in their homes. I had a wonderful time meeting these people and engaging with their process. The Sylver Gypsy made it easy to get around and who can beat the Verde Valley or Sedona!

Sedona Studio Tour I

Back to the Verde River valley. This time to visit open studio artists in the area, and camping near the river in the Coconino Forest. It’s warm, but cooling quickly. In a really peaceful place with my amazing escape pod…..I enjoyed a picnic lunch right along the Verde River. And watched a blue heron centered in the first photo, who was standing still during my whole visit. The sound of running water, and kayak enthusiasts made me feel like I was in an oasis. I found the same camping spot that I enjoyed 3 weeks prior. Its near Clarkdale, near the edge of the red rocks, with a clear view of Jerome in the distance. This time there were more signs of spring with bright lime green leaves sprouting on the deciduous plants. And a new batch of wild flowers. https://sedonaartistscoalition.org/spring-2023-open-studios-tour

What an enjoyable escape into the Verde River Valley. Jerome, Clarkdale, Cottonwood, Page Springs, and a long overdue visit to the Reitz Ranch Center for the Ceramic Arts was on the bucket list. We got lucky and found a camp spot nearby in the Coconino Forest, where we could see the town of Jerome with a dusting of snow, in one direction, and the red rock area near Sedona. We enjoyed  wine tastings, art galleries, and relaxing walks. We spotted antelope, (and cows) and enjoyed that illusive PEACE. The Sylver Gypsy never disappoints!
