In Enumclaw, WA

I am on my way to Mt. Rainier National Park, and headed to Flaming Gesyer State Park, for a walk, and a curiosity regarding these geysers. Methane gas is released into the water, minus the heat or brilliant colors, so it's not a Yellowstone geyser, but the calcium carbonate effect left interesting grey silver hair like veins in the stream. The stairs up, over, and down, was a nice cardio workout as well. This was a fairly mature forest, of moss, ferns, and deep rooted trees. I never saw the sun today, and the temperature was still on the chili side.

I have entered Enumclaw, one of the agricultural districts of Washington. As per my Harvest Host membership, I spent the night at Meadowwood Farms. The owner warned me that there'd be sounds of the farm, as I would hear chickens, cows, and a very careful watch dog that was about a hundred times larger than Jo Jo. Well, maybe about 20 times larger, for sure. I parked next to the garden. I purchased some lettuce, zucchini, sharp cheese, butter, and a sampling of unpasteurized milk. I have never tasted unpasteurized milk. They had a milk co-operation going on, and are a working farm making their livelihood from the sales of milk, eggs, and processed beef and pork, honey, cheese, and a small array of produce. Their store is open every day, self serve, and on the honor system. Looking forward to a night on the farm!
