More Everglades....
The Everglades are 734 square miles big. It would take a while to see much of it. But we managed several visitor's centers, a few walks, and a rangers talk about raptors. We saw a Florida tortoise in the parking lot, that was picked up and taken to the water. She was digging dirt in the median, acting like she wanted to lay eggs. So apparently the rangers felt it was best to pick her up and move her to a safer, and more natural place by the water.
Jo Jo was carried in his house during much of this. His house is actually a purse-like bag, I call the "Paris Hilton" bag. It just looks like a big purse, and doesn't draw too much attention. Most people have no idea that there is dog in there. Stelth puppy. He really is best with me. Such a silly, spoiled boy.
We are back at the campsite that we stayed at last night, near a pond, still in the Everglades. I fed the fish, and listen to the birds as the sun sets. It's peaceful, just the way that I like it.
