More Cape May

So after another night at Jessie Creek Winery, I went to the beach. It was actually quite cool, to the point where I didn't need my umbrella, and could have used a jacket. I sat there catching up on emails, reading and enjoying the sounds of the waves. I saw a school of dolphins! And a billboard boat. I returned to the rv to make lunch, then on to visit the Cape May lighthouse. Fortunately it was still cool, and I could leave JoJo inside the RV while I climbed the lighthouse. This time it was a piece of cake, compared to Cape Hatteras. Only 199 steps, but they had a double railing, so it was really easy to pull myself up each step. My new hip is so awesome. Just love my hip, lol, it's only 2 years old. Of course the views are really great, and from that distance I could see swans in a pond. So I proceeded to walk to this area to get a closer look. There were several swans and many Canadian geese. They were so majestic and beautiful. I spent a little more time walking around visiting a small museum. They had an an exhibit with all a lot of the natural reptiles that are found in the area, along with a box turtle, like the one I saw on the trail yesterday. But ewe....they had hissing cock roaches from Madagascar. I did not hear them hiss, thank you. I stopped to grab a chicken sandwich, really wanting to find a grocery store to buy some chicken, but there are not that many options in this particular area. I am debating whether to spend another day tomorrow and watching the forecast, it's not supposed to rain until the afternoon, so maybe just maybe, I'll stop at the beach again. I feel like there's just a few more short days before I head Inland into Pennsylvania. So I want to get as much ocean time in as possible. My plan is to find the ocean again, in Maine, sometime in August. But for now I can't seem to get enough. There are some points of interest here that I would still like to explore.
