More gatherings and hikes

I came across a real estate listing, and wouldn't you know it, it was my childhood house on Harris Road.  So I immediately made arrangements with a realtor to look at this house. I lived here in the early 60s to late 60s. I have some very vivid memories of my early childhood there, and I was pretty excited to see this home. It has become a handyman special, and needs quite the work. The kitchen, living room, and bathrooms looked exactly the same. The house is priced well for the area and I'm so tempted to just buy it as my summer home. But that would mean taking care of yet another house, and at this point I would just rather drive around in my RV. The house on wheels. Once I win the lottery, I could buy it, and hire enough caretakers to take care of it all. LOL.

Each day is filled with another visit to a friend. I met Ava, again, and was able to take her to Wegmans for grocery shopping, and a quick grab of the sandwiches that they prepare there. A thousand times better than any chain sub places that you find all over place. It's always fun to go into Wegmans. They just have everything that you could possibly need. I spent an afternoon hiking with Elizabeth. We went to Powder Mills Park and walked in the shade, with our doggies, along the Irondequoit Creek. Too bad I wasn't dressed right, because I really wanted to go into the water. It continues to be quite warm here. I also caught up with a friend and had lunch at her house in Canandaigua. Debbie runs a school and daycare, and is quite busy managing this business for several years, if not decades. Our lunch turned into about 7 hours of girl time, as we enjoyed the air conditioning on her couch. She is a good high school friend, and it was so good to finally have the time to just sit and relax with her.

It was another warm night and JoJo was on guard again in front of my screen door. I'm not really scared or worried, but he is a good watchguard and would let me know whatever comes around. Throughout this whole journey I have not ever been worried, as I am always observant and tend to go places that are assumed safe. Or maybe I am just that lucky....
