Public Market
I went to visit the Rochester public market. Like any market they had a wide variety of in season vegetables and fruits. I bought a coffee from a woman whose sister lives in Anthem, and who has been to Cave Creek. It is indeed a small world. After picking up some tomatoes, peaches, and New York cheddar, I headed out to Savoia bakery. My parents used to go there on occation to pick up cream puff rolls, and rolls with poppy seeds, and dill seed, with coarse salt. They didn't carry the bread, but I did manage to get a cream puff and canoli. Yummy. I headed to Turning Point Park. I had never been to this park along the Gennesee River. It's a long trail and boardwalk that leads north to Lake Ontario, as well as south to Rochester. I saw 2 beautiful swans inbetween the lily pads. Jo Jo was stopping traffic, and getting his fill of attention. After a quick stop to an antiques store, I made it back in time to witness Marina's piano lesson. She's doing well with both viola and piano. We ended the day at Shutts Apple Farm. They played one of the Star Wars films projected onto the wall of the barn. It was nearly midnight when we got home. I think the force must have been with me, for this long and eventful day!
