Getting ready for: CA, OR, WA
I am getting ready for another RV Journey! And in just a few days I'm planning to head out to California, then on to Oregon, and Washington State. I plan on leaving May 15th, and returning on August 15th. I'm loading up the Sylver Gypsy, and it's much easier this time around, since I left much of the non-essential and non-perishable items permanently packed in the RV. I am planning to take off with my fur baby, Jo Jo. He is doing wonderfully well, and has been such a good companion and traveler.
I've had so much experience with packing things up and hitting the road many times while doing 35+ years of art shows. And I have plenty of lists, on paper, and in my head, but there's always an element of wondering if I really packed everything that I need. I guess it's just a natural impulse to be concerned, and I could just buy whatever is missing. But it would be agrivating for me knowing that it's just sitting there in the house, and I could have grabbed it! In any event, I've also learned to do without. That's the nature of RV and "glamping" travel. I try to be spontaneous!
We had a small thunderstorm on Sunday, as I continued my pack job. It was rather unusual, but it feels like spring here, in the desert, with this rain. Its been a beautiful spring this year, in the Sonoran Desert.
Stay tuned, as I plan on adding to my blog every few days or so. I'm headed out first thing on Wednesday morning and I hope to reach the Pacific ocean by the next day.
