San Luis Obispo, and Morro Bay

I enjoyed a second day in the Morro Beach area. After a quick morning walk on the boardwalk, I headed into San Luis Obispo. I visited bubblegum alley which was a combination of grossness, and coolness, all in one. Apparently anyone that comes here can add their own gum to the wall and there were thousands, no tens of thousands, if not a million wads of gum on this wall. I wasn't sure what to make of it, but I'm certain this is probably one of the more unique displays I have been to. I could had contributed, but I didn't. I stopped into a few galleries and shops along the way before going on to Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa.
There was a wedding rehearsal going on while I toured the mission. I have never seen such a vast expanded display of artifacts created from seashells, by the indigenous people. Tools, musical instruments, jewelry, utensils, etc. These were slightly different raw materials, than the missions I have visited in the desert Southwest. Obviously shells were quite plentiful along this Pacific region.
I headed back towards Morro Bay, and decided to walk up and down the main strip visiting some more galleries, and shops, including a sea shell shop. I added a Morro Bay abalone shell to my collection. After a happy hour beer in a puppy friendly bar... with a view. I walked the beach, and found some rocks that looked a bit like labradorite. I have not been lucky finding information on them, but the rocks are pretty, with tinges of green and blue. I hope to go back to the bay tomorrow morning to find the illusive sea otters. I am watching the fog roll in, as The sun is setting, and it's become rather chilly.
