On the way to Bogeda Bay

My drive from the westside of Sausalito, on route 1, to Stinson Beach was like The Great Ocean Road in Australia, the road to Hana in Maui, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Cadillac Road, in Acadia, Maine, all tied up into one.  Except this was with the addition of about a thousand bicyclists, and dense fog. There were rare pull outs, no shoulders, and a dip down ditch from the paved edge. This was a "two hands," not a cup of coffee in one hand, super focused on the steering wheel kind of drive. Exhausting! And there is more to come.

I finally made it to Bogeda Bay. And I know I have quite a bit more to go on the Pacific California Highway as I head north. I stopped at Point Reyes National Seashore, and did one of the trails to the beach park. It was about a mile and a half round trip and in the end I had to pick up Jo Jo as the sand was so loose, and blowing all around. I happened to find a whole collection of interesting rocks and enjoyed the beautiful view of pristine undeveloped seashore. There were beautiful natural wildflowers In bloom, and a cascade of fields along with cattle along the drive. It was a stunning drive.

I bought a whole stack of DVDs from the Desert Foothills Library in Cave Creek, for 50 cents a piece. So when I can't get any reception out in the world, I occasionally pop in a DVD. I'm watching Mrs. Doubtfire, probably more than 25+ years old, and I'm still cracking up and laughing, as if it's the first time I've seen it. Robin Williams is/was/is such a master of comedy, hilarious! "I like it light and woody." This is a funny classic!

I hear the honking sea lions, this evening.
