Paddy Creek, AZ

I decided to spend another night next to Paddy Creek, here at 8500' elevation, in the Apache National Forest. I was able to place one phone call out, with one bar of cell service, but haven't been able to reach the internet or text. A day or two void of technology is ok. Other than a truck or car every hour, or so, I have not seen anyone. Of course, I do have many conversations with Jo Jo.

So what do I do with myself in the woods in the middle of nowhere? Today I made breakfast omelets for the next 3 days, prepared dinner, cleaned, did my PT exercises, took a hike, read, took a shower, washed my hair, pedicure and manicure, mending, and washed all of my prized fossils from the Mogollon Rim, in Paddy Creek, which took a while, and are now ready for the next creative application when I get home!

All of this while hearing only the sounds of nature, and best of all, the falling waters of Paddy Creek. It's small, but charming, and allowed a comfortable foot soak in pristine water, while I scrubbed those fossils.

I am keeping an eye on the sky as it's really somewhat hazy and perhaps a storm is nearby. I want to move to higher ground if such as the case, and may do so before bedtime.
