Day two, Quartzsite, AZ
I spent a little bit of time in the Sylver Gypsy this morning and no rush to leave. The propane heater is working fine as it is still a bit chilly overnight here in the desert. Soon enough it will heat up. The batteries had an amazing read, and so far all is working well. Its extra rewarding when efforts do work well!
I headed back into town this time back to the grocery where I stocked up again on some chicken broth and chocolate. An odd combination, for sure, but it will be used up nonetheless. I stopped at the swap meet where I found a few items such as nail files, at five for a dollar. They also had several merchants that were having clearance sales as they were getting ready to shut down their mobile shops for the season. I got some cast-iron frogs for a steal which will just be a charming addition to my garden. I also talked to a man who lives in Huntington Beach,CA and does this show every year, a retired history teacher. He was quite friendly, and curious who it was curled up inside my kangaroo pouch. He asked if there was a lizard in there? Well, that’s a first. Jo Jo has never been accused of being a lizard. I pulled Jo Jo out, like pulling a rabbit out of a hat, and he was an instant hit. As usual JoJo is the catalyst for conversation with every person I meet. Other than that, I would probably be completely ignored.
